Aug 10, 2015 · So my question is: Why is it considered bad practice to use Optional s as method arguments (see solution 1)? It looks like the most readable solution to me and makes it most obvious that the parameters could be empty/null to future maintainers. Named arguments enable you to specify an argument for a parameter by matching the argument with its name rather than with its position in the parameter list. Optional arguments enable you to omit arguments for some parameters. Both techniques can be used with methods, indexers, constructors, and delegates.
