Lock Variable synchronization ensures that only one thread or process can enter a critical section at a time. This prevents multiple threads from concurrently modifying shared resources, which could lead to data corruption or unpredictable outcomes. If it is 0 then it sets the value of lock as 1 and enters into the critical section, otherwise it waits.
