It is most often used for input and select controls, but can also be applied to custom controls. The directive sets the required attribute on the element if the AngularJS expression inside ngRequired evaluates to true. AngularJS also holds information about whether they have been touched, or modified, or not. You can use standard HTML5 attributes to validate input, or you can make your own validation functions.
