In this tutorial, we’ll see how to use the forEach () method with collections, what kind of argument it takes, and how this loop differs from the enhanced for-loop. In this Java 8 tutorial, we learned to use the forEach () method for iterating though the items in Java Collections and/or Streams. We leaned to perform Consumer and BiConsumer action in form of annonymous methods as well as lambda expressions. Here is how the example looks with the for-each construct: for (TimerTask t : c) t.cancel(); When you see the colon (:) read it as "in." The loop above reads as "for each TimerTask t in c." As you can see, the for-each construct combines beautifully with generics. It preserves all of the type safety, while removing the remaining clutter.
