However, in recent years, its popularity has been declining, and it’s no longer considered a viable option for many developers. It's not nearly as common as it used to (not that it was ever all that common), but it still exists, mostly as legacy code in my experience. Yeah, we've got a few VB apps that we still support. It's just one of those things where when you have older apps they'll be in older languages. Version 6, launched in 1998, has since lost practical relevance with its mainline support ending in 2008.
