Jan 8, 2026 · Creation Walk Nature Trail in Marilla, NY. The trail’s terrain is primarily glaciated upland shale, scattered with small to medium-sized glacial erratics and till. As I approached Little Buffalo Creek, I noted a thin layer of what appears to be West River Shale. This trail is also part of the 2024 WNY Hiking Challenge and I relied on the Avenza map for this trail that is provided with the challenge. The path is covered with wood chips.
