And so now we understand the difference between viewChild() and contentChild(): viewChild() is used to query elements that are direct children of the component, and exist on the component's own private template @ViewChildren and @ContentChildren both provide a QueryList object that contains a list of results. QueryList offers a number of convenience APIs for working with results in an array-like manner, such as map, reduce, and forEach. @ViewChild () supports directive or component type as parameter, or the name (string) of a template variable. @ViewChildren () also supports a list of names as comma separated list (currently no spaces allowed @ViewChildren('var1,var2,var3')).
