The inner class has access to all members (including private) of the outer class, but the outer class can access the inner class members only through an object of the inner class. As with instance methods and variables, an inner class is associated with an instance of its enclosing class and has direct access to that object's methods and fields. Java Inner Classes In Java, it is also possible to nest classes (a class within a class). The purpose of nested classes is to group classes that belong together, which makes your code more readable and maintainable. To access the inner class, create an object of the outer class, and then create an object of the inner class:
