She had a long career in theater, film, and TV, and was posthumously awarded an NAACP Image Award. She made her television debut in "Run For Your Life" in 1966 at the age of 74. She appeared in character roles through out the 1960 and 1970 in such television series as "Night Gallery," "Days of Our Lives," and "The Mod Squad." Zara Cully (1892-1978) was an American actress who appeared in TV shows such as The Jeffersons, All in the Family and Sugar Hill. She was married to James M. Brown and died of lung cancer in 1978.
