We’ll create a Spring Boot example that will fetch a list of Baeldung articles and display them in a Thymeleaf HTML template. Variable expressions query the WebContext, or other implicit objects to resolve these expressions. Usually, they will refer to objects you have attached to the WebContext object in the servlet request handling process. In Thymeleaf, these model attributes (or context variables in Thymeleaf jargon) can be accessed with the following syntax: ${attributeName}, where attributeName in our case is messages.
