Web Reference: Nov 28, 2025 · If you’re strictly a mobile dev, the idea of the server dictating your UI might feel a bit alien. But if you look over the fence at our web developer friends, they’re probably laughing at us. Every time one of these things promises to replaces engineers, it fails. It's never happened so I won't hold my breath. I don't think the goal has ever been to replace engineers. The goals of these things are to maintain flexibility in changing UIs without having to ship a new bundle to the client. I assume you meant server driven UI? I think personally that it's important not to go to far in server-driven UI. Before moving a bit away from it, the app was way to generic, which had a lot of drawbacks for us and didn't really helped us to develop faster.
