Web Reference: A set of small scripts to generate and run standard-format brackets in python. These scripts are meant to generate simple tournament brackets. Currently only head-to-head win/loss single play single outcome games are playable. If you want to just run the finished version, the file will be found in the “bin” directory. Using Python and basketball ranking data, I generate a bracket with a simple algorithm that attempts to “be better” than the efforts of a selection committee of tens of people in seeding the competition.
