Jun 14, 2023 · In 1961, Cormac McCarthy entered into his first marriage with Lee Holleman. The following year, in 1962, they welcomed their son, Cullen, into the world. However, financial difficulties took a toll on their relationship, leading to their eventual divorce later that year. During his residency, he served as Educational Chief Resident and participated in multiple research studies covering the areas of trauma surgery, cell biology and vascular surgery. Dr. McCarthy completed a fellowship in vascular surgery with Wake Forest Baptist Health in North Carolina.
