Augustine, who was working in the UK, in Northern Ireland's Dungannon town, was found hanging in his apartment. Sukumara Kurup allegedly committed the crime to fake his own death and claim an insurance amount of ₹800,000, by killing Chacko, who bore a striking resemblance to him. Jan 21, 2024 · Sunday, 21 January, marked the 40th anniversary of the murder of Chacko by Kurup, one of the most wanted criminals in Kerala. When contacted, Santhamma told South First that she would never pardon Kurup and his associates, who must be nabbed and punished under any circumstances.
